Editor’s Note: Many of you know Pat Foster-Turley through her weekly nature articles, “Pat’s Wildways.”  Each week, Pat sends an assortment of photos to be included in her writing.  In Pat’s last article there were so many wonderful photos, I decided to give this photo special attention and post in our  “Amelia Island revealed . . .”  According to Pat, “Salt marsh wrack builds up after exceptional high tides and wind, like we’ve had lately.”  We thank Pat for her many contributions to the Fernandina Observer.

Pat Foster-Turley is a zoologist on Amelia Island.  She welcomes your nature questions and observations.  [email protected]
