Sheriff Leeper is prepared for impact of Republican Convention in Nassau County

County Manager/County Attorney Michael Mullin announced at the July 20, 2020, meeting of the Board of County Commissioners that he had been in contact with the local Republican Committee and with members of the National Republican Committee. In addition, a meeting was held yesterday with Greg Foster, Emergency Management Director. The end result? Mullin reported to the Commissioners that “the Sheriff’s office is prepared for actions that will take place here on the Island and between here and Duval County,” as it relates to The Republican National Convention slated to run from August 24 – 27, 2020.
