At the Monday, May 10, 2021 meeting, the Board of Nassau County Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2021-061, proclaiming the week of May 16th – May 22nd as National Public Works Week in Nassau County, Florida.

Public Works professionals focus on infrastructure, facilities and services that are of vital importance to sustainable and resilient communities and to the public health, quality of life, and well-being of the people in Nassau County.

Public Works includes construction and maintenance of roads, landfill maintenance, garbage collection, access to public facilities, availability of public water and sewer, construction of sidewalks, and more!

Next week, thank a public works employee to let them know that you appreciate everything they do to improve the quality of life in our community.
