Nassau Schools welcome two new principals

Nassau County School Superintendent Kathy Burns has announced the appointments of Bryce Cubbal as principal of Yulee Elementary School and George Raysor as principal of Yulee Middle School.

Mr. Bryce Cubbal has always valued and recognized the importance of education and knew early on that he would make a career out of it.  Originally from Pennsylvania, Bryce Cubbal attended Clarion University where he graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Mr. Cubbal started his teaching career at Callahan Intermediate School as a fourth-grade teacher.  During this time, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.  In 2014, Mr. Cubbal accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Emma Love Hardee Elementary School.  As an administrator, Mr. Cubbal has recognized the importance of growing teachers in order to maximize student achievement.  He is a believer that with the right support and a growth-mindset a teacher’s limits are endless.  Mr. Cubbal will never forget his Emma Love Hardee Elementary team but is ecstatic about becoming the Principal of Yulee Elementary.  He can’t wait to work collaboratively with teachers, students, parents, and all other stakeholders to ensure the continued success of Yulee Elementary School.  

George Raysor

Principal George Raysor, Yulee Miodle School

Mr. George Raysor, a 1998 graduate of Fernandina Beach High School was recently selected to serve as principal of Yulee Middle School. Mr. Raysor earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from University of Central Florida, and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from University of North Florida.

Mr. Raysor began his educational career as a fourth-grade teacher at Yulee Elementary School. During his tenure in Nassau County, he has served as a teacher, dean of students at Yulee High School, assistant principal, and principal. 

Mr. Raysor states that one of the highlights of his professional career while principal at Yulee Elementary School was leading his school to earning School of Excellence designation from the Florida Department of Education for two consecutive years.  

Mr. Raysor has proven himself to be an effective leader, and he always prides himself on giving 100%.  He truly believes Yulee Middle School can become a model school with a dedicated staff, supportive parents and intrinsically motivated students.
