Barnwell Road at State Road A1A
Nighttime southbound lane closures Tuesday through Friday, January 19 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for road and water main work.
State Road A1A just east of I-95
Daytime lane closures Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for roadside work.
State Road A1A at Lofton Creek
Daytime westbound lane closure Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for road and water main work.
State Road A1A from William Burgess Boulevard to Harper Chapel Road
Daytime westbound lane closures weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for roadside work.
U.S. 1 from Roberts Road to Ewing Park Road in Callahan
The road is temporarily closing Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade. Nassau County Sheriff’s Office will assist with the detour.
U.S. 301 over the railroad tracks five miles south of Callahan
Daytime lane closures Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for routine overpass maintenance.

Was on SR200 today around 11:30 am At Walmart the Road was Single Lane both ways. busiest day of the week for people to shop, and it was a total Cluster —-.! Why on earth would F-Dot shut down traffic at the busiest time of day.?? That’s why Mr. Edison invented Electric lights, Why could this not have been done at 2 am ? Coming back to the Island, the west bound traffic was backed up way passed Nassuaville Road. While I’m on this rant, they have turned SR 200 in to a Logging Road, I’ve never seen a rougher road.
Just another “temporary” inconvenience. What total BS. FYI, last report by FDOT itself was this continues thru 2020~~2024. They started in 2016 folks……This is Fl gov. at it’s best. Something that in the Northeast would d.o.n.e. in two years takes 8. Welcome to progress.
The SR 200 is a total disaster and the excuses for inaction are unacceptable. The state legislators have the power to take some simple steps to help improve conditions for the people who live here and pay taxes. I would strongly urge Senator Bean and Representative Byrd to get refocused on the safety needs of this community as a top concern. The recent rains proved that the flooding of those lanes will create a death trap for someone and no this cannot wait until 2019, we will not be that lucky. What is needed is a safety study, its simply, send the letter, ask for the meeting with Gov Rick Scott and the Secretary of FDOT, they are all over in Tally right now so its easy to make it happen. Get the safety study done and then push hard for a thin overlay of asphalt to help stabilize the road until the FDOT can get this completed. The delays and weather issues will continue and in the meantime the road continues to unravel. Janet fought hard to get the overlay done for A1A last time we faced this issue, yet it does require some work, but now is the time to do it and if they really want to get creative, craft some amendments to the budget to fund changes or create some amendments to a FDOT bill that will create a “claw back” provision for local government so at least these damages that people are having can get repaired. I was not surprised when I heard that 90% of the claims were being denied, that is what insurance companies do, they deny the claims and put the burden elsewhere. We need some leadership.
