Candidate Charlie Gressman

Recently, the local chapter of the International Association of Firefighters, L3101, publicly endorsed Nassau County Commissioner District 5 candidate Charlie Gressman. The membership of L3101 represent the firefighters, EMTs and paramedics who selflessly serve communities across the county.

Darron Ayscue, President of L3101, stated, “Charlie Gressman represents the kind of steadfast, honest and transparent leadership this county needs going forward.”

Charlie is a lifelong resident of Nassau County, growing up on his family’s farm in Callahan. Charlie served in the US Army reserves as a medic and then went on to start a successful business and became a team leader in a large corporation.

He has been married 47 years to Linda Schwend Gressman. They have two sons and daughters-in-law, Caleb and Hillary Gressman & Grant and Leslie Gressman. Charlie and Linda are also the proud grandparents of five amazing children: Riley, Rowan, Hallie, Reese, and Colton.

In addition to his decades of professional and volunteer experience, Charlie serves on the Nassau County Planning & Zoning Board. In this role, Charlie is essential in organizing and developing projects that will improve our county’s infrastructure and help improve the lives of Nassau County citizens in a planned, managed way.

“We know that Charlie is a person who leads by example, and is someone who is thoughtful in all his dealings…someone who puts service to others before self,” Ayscue says, “his record speaks for itself. We know that Charlie Gressman will be the right person to meet the challenges our county will face in the near future…and that’s why we are proud to publicly support him.”

Charlie and Linda Gressman are deeply appreciative to L3101 for their outpouring of support and for first responders’ continued service to our county.
