Dr. Tara Middleton is the newly appointed Assistant Principal of Yulee Middle School. Dr. Middleton joins the Nassau County Schools family after serving for eight years within Volusia County Schools as an Administrative Teacher on Assignment, Dean of Student Relations, Testing Coordinator, Instructional Coach, Department Chairwoman, Middle Grades Science Teacher, and High School Biology and Marine Science Teacher.
Her formal training includes a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut. She is a firm believer that all students are capable of learning to the highest standards, that relationships are the guiding force behind every measure of success, and that every child deserves an incredible teacher.
Dr. Middleton’s philosophy is defined by three guiding principles: 1) Teach on Fire, 2) Lead with Love, and 3) Realize our Power. She is thrilled to now continue her service to public education within the Yulee community as we continue to strive for excellence, one step at a time.
