Dumping of debris into State right-of-ways is prohibited. The Florida Department of Transportation has completed its debris removal on State right-of-ways in Nassau County and WILL NOT perform another debris removal pass in Nassau County.

As of Monday, December 11th at 5:00 p.m., the debris drop off locations have been closed. Therefore, if you reside on a private road or in a private subdivision, you will be responsible for hauling your debris elsewhere. County residents may also burn yard debris in accordance with burn guidelines issued by the Florida Dept. of Agriculture. CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HAULING OFF THEIR OWN DEBRIS AND ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLACE IT IN ANY COUNTY OR STATE RIGHT-OF WAYS.

Any resident or business owner with questions or concerns regarding debris removal on State right-of-ways should contact Irene Cabral, FDOT Emergency Coordination Officer at (850)414-5336 or email her at [email protected].
