October 12, 2020

Nassau County Emergency Management:  DOH-Nassau epidemiologists are investigating ten new cases today. We regret to have to report another Nassau County resident CoViD-19-related death. The deceased was a 70-year-old male. Our sincere condolences are extended to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Please do your part to stop the spread and ensure that those most vulnerable to complications from this infection (e.g., people over 65 years of age, pregnant women, or those of any age who are smokers, have had cancer, a BMI over 30, steroid treatments, an autoimmune disease, diabetes, sickle cell and other blood disorders, or any heart, lung, or kidney conditions) are protected from exposure by staying home if you are sick, covering your coughs and sneezes, disinfecting touched surfaces, and washing your hands frequently with soap and water.

This is the weekend report.

The latest data on COVID19 both here in Nassau & elsewhere only serves to make the County Commissioners’ decision on removing the mask requirements even more absurd if not life threatening.
