It is with great sadness and regret that the Nassau County Health Department announces that five new COVID-19 deaths have been reported. The residents were a 65-year-old male, 40-year old male, 94-year-old male, 89-year-old male, and a 71-year-old male. This brings the total number of Nassau County resident COVID-19 deaths to 102.


The Health Department sends our most sincere condolences to the family and loved ones during this difficult time. The Health Department continues to prioritize protecting the health and wellness of the community to ensure these solemn occasions are as rare as possible. Protecting the public’s health, however, is everyone’s responsibility. It is vital that the community continues to be vigilant in following public health recommendations to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and to protect each other, including those most vulnerable. The FDOH Nassau County Health Department will not release additional details about the individual to respect the family’s privacy during this time of loss.
