Emma Love Elementary School welcomes new Assistant Principal

Mrs. Leslie Reid knew from a young age that her purpose in life was centered on working with children. Originally from Alabama, Mrs. Reid enrolled at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with the designation of Summa Cum Laude. Mrs. Reid began her teaching career as a first grade teacher with Oxford City Schools in Oxford, Alabama where she taught for eleven years. She taught kindergarten and first grade at Gilchrist Elementary School in Tallahassee, Florida, before joining Nassau County Schools in 2017.

Mrs. Reid served as a third grade teacher and reading interventionist at Yulee Elementary School while earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Reid believes that all children can succeed in a positive learning environment with caring, dedicated teachers. She values working collaboratively with teachers to provide high quality instruction that will maximize student achievement and promote lifelong learning.

Mrs. Reid is thrilled and grateful to begin the upcoming school year as Assistant Principal of Emma Love Hardee Elementary School. She is eager to work alongside the amazing faculty and staff members to support the students and families of this wonderful community.
