Press Release
April 21, 2022
Fernandina Beach, Fla. – On Tuesday, April 19, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Jake Lee Cleveland after our agency’s narcotics detectives conducted a search warrant at his home. Cleveland already had two active arrest warrants in Nassau County for selling marijuana and two counts of sales of a controlled substance.
During the search detectives located large quantities of a “green leafy substance” in several areas on the property. While in the kitchen detectives spotted several black bags and cardboard boxes containing dozens of THC candies. In total 169 packages of THC candies were seized. Several firearms were also located in a safe. He was booked into the Nassau County Jail. He is currently facing charges of trafficking marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, operation of a drug house, six counts of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia with residue.
Well at least he was a responsible gun owner and not selling fentanyl and meth.
I keep seeing comments that say he was selling Fentanyl. Pot, who cares? But fentanyl is a whole nother story
The police report does not mention Fentanyl.
If Mr. Cleveland was engaging only with adults acting on their own free will – was there really a victim? Do certain interest groups benefit from the arrest and prosecution of Mr. Cleveland?
