With the county beaches the only ones available to locals, tourists, and spring breakers, they should be as crowded as Jones Beach tomorrow. Bad idea keeping them open with everything else closed.

City beaches are closed while county beaches remain open. Now that makes a lot of sense. Too bad about the spring breakers. “I feel your pain.”

The County beaches were closed at 5:00 p.m. yesterday (Saturday), soon after they closed to vehicles. We went to American Beach yesterday and witnessed this transition.
