Nassau County residents will soon have another grocery shopping option. Aldi  announced that it will open its Yulee store at 463689 Florida 200 on August 29.  There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:25 a.m. on opening day and prizes including gift cards offered to the first 100 customers. There will be more events and giveaways to follow up to September 1:

  • Shoppers can enter a sweepstakes on August 30 for a chance to win a year’s supply of Aldi produce.
  • The store will offer samples of Aldi-branded food Sept. 1.

The store will operate 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Founded by the Albrecht family, the first ALDI store opened in 1961 in Germany, making ALDI the first discounter in the world. Headquartered in Batavia, Illinois, ALDI now has more than 1,900 stores across 36 states, employs over 25,000 people and has been steadily growing since opening its first US store in Iowa in 1976.  Over the past decade, they’ve nearly doubled in size and by 2022, ALDI will bring its total number of US stores to nearly 2,500.

The no-frills grocery boasts that their shopping experience focuses on customers first – delivering high quality food they’re proud to serve their family, responsive customer service, everyday low prices and a quick-and-easy shopping experience with only four to five aisles and all the essentials.

Shoppers will find more than 90 percent of the groceries they offer are under ALDI exclusive brands, hand-selected by ALDI to ensure that their products meet or exceed the national brands on taste, quality and price.
