Leadership Training for Nassau County

The Nassau County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Florida Institute for Political Leadership (FIPL), is hosting a virtual Campaign School & Community Leadership Training April 18 and 19, 5:30-8:00 p.m. both days.

This no-cost and nonpartisan program is open to everyone and recommended for elected officials, current or future candidates, campaign workers, and anyone interested in serving in an appointed position. This program aims to ensure that candidates running for office understand the issues facing Florida and our local Nassau County community.

The training provides a comprehensive briefing on emerging local and state issues, educates attendees about local opportunities that are available for appointed or elected positions, and offers guidance on how to prepare to run for office and how to run winning campaigns.

Presenters include local and state political experts, elected officials, university professors, and community leaders.

FIPL, an initiative of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, was created to assist leaders who want to improve their local communities by serving in appointed positions or elected offices. The institute partners with local chambers and other community organizations across Florida. The program has trained 623 graduates to date, of whom 70% plan to run for office.
