Beginning this week, our friends and neighbors will see activity increasing at the Simmons Road Park site as initial clearing activities begin.

8 Flags Playscapes remains focused on ensuring that the development of this park is done with unprecedented involvement from environmental experts. We want the community to know that every possible precaution is being made to minimize any adverse environmental impact to this property, local wildlife, and the environmentally sensitive wetlands that are adjacent to the development area.

This morning, local stakeholders met to review in detail the protocol, expectations, and procedures which must be followed as the commencement of construction nears. To our knowledge, this level of coordination and oversight has never occurred prior to development of any kind historically within the City limits.
