Ocean Rescue Towers hit the beaches of Fernandina Beach

A message from Deputy Fire Chief, Fino Murallo:

The “new to us” ocean rescue towers were successfully placed at Main Beach and Seaside Beach this morning. I have attached a few pictures to allow everyone to see were they are located.  Haynes (Ocean Rescue supervisor) did a great job with acquiring these.

Thanks to the Street Department and Fleet Department for assisting with placing these out for the season. We still have a few final touches to make on them for this weekend but they are essentially ready to go.

Thanks again for everyones support and assistance with making this project happen. These will be a huge asset for public safety on the beaches this season.
