Days before Christmas, a new local resident collapsed on the Pickleball Courts. Thanks to the quick actions of the residents present who administered CPR and the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the Fernandina Beach Fire Department he lived to tell the tale!!!

Says his daughter, Cyndi Teitelbaum, “It is a Godsend that it happened on the Pickleball Courts and the right people were here.”

Dr. Jill Bolstad led two trainings on the AED (located in front of the Central Park Comfort Station) so that others could take similar action, should the need arise.
