Nassau Humane Society has entered a partnership with Humane Society International, and is the point agency to save 15 dogs from Korean meat farms.  For more information on the Nassau Humane Society and this program, click here.  According to the NHS website, at 8 this morning, the South Korean dogs arrived at the Nassau Humane Society.

“All the dogs have been given new names associated with the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. Please help us welcome, Liberty, Justice, Hope, Freedom, Honor, Eagle, Ellis and Francis to Nassau Humane Society. We are thankful to be able to help make this impact and still have space to transfer more dogs from our surrounding county shelters this week as well.

“If you would like to help, our most immediate needs are enrichment items (Kongs, long lasting chews, hot dogs, spray cheese, toys), blankets, gift cards to Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, or any item you feel would benefit the animals entrusted in our care. Above are pictures of some of our new arrivals. Thank you!

“Our Operations Director is heading out today to make the drive to bring these dogs to safety at Nassau Humane Society and assist Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in taking some to their program as well.

“If you would like to help us fund this rescue mission and continue to allow us to expand our impact on saving lives, please consider donating. You can donate via this post, or by mail or in person. Our shelter is at 639 Airport Rd., Fernandina Beach, Fl. 32034. Thank you.”
