Those drivers intending to park in Parking Lot B at the foot of Centre Street today were greeted by a blocked entrance to the lot and a construction crew digging a massive trench across the lot. Why? To add the utility lines for the Fernandina Harbor Marina’s new South Basin attenuator.
Workers have found no buried treasure, but did unearth at least one old piling. It is anticipated that work will be completed tomorrow.
