I know it’s a long way off so I’m glad to see such interest in a city election. Hopefully folks will actually turn out to cast ballots. I have long struggled to understand why the turnout for local elections is so low. My city (Decatur GA) just had an election and the turnout was in the range of 30%. Other cities in the county were as low as 10% ! National elections typically get 60 or 70 %. What affects your life the most on a day-to-day basis – the happenings at City Hall or those in Washington? Remember it’s 100% more effective to complain at the ballot box than in social media.
