We have received several inquiries concerning rumors of violence at the local schools. We are aware of viral social media posts that are being spread nationwide. Currently, local law enforcement and school officials have not verified any specific credible threat against any of the schools in our City.
Out of an abundance of caution, we will have additional officers at the Fernandina Beach Middle School and Fernandina Beach High School tomorrow.
