Chief Mark Foxworth welcomes Matthew McKenna a Fernandina Beach High School graduate.
The FBPD would like to welcome our newest member, Matthew McKenna. Matt was born in Staten Island, New York and spent his early years in Coconut Creek, Florida. His family relocated to Fernandina Beach during his freshman year of high school. After graduating from Fernandina Beach High School, Matt worked at the Omni and started Florida State College of Jacksonville working on an Associate’s Degree.
Matt recently graduated from the Northeast Florida Criminal Justice Training Center and was certified as a law enforcement officer in September. Matt’s interest in law enforcement stems from his passion to serve and help people. He was inspired by his brother, a Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy to pursue that passion through a career in local service.
Right now Matt is becoming familiar with all of our policies, procedures and computer programs. He will actually be in a patrol car, training with a senior officer at the end of the month – if you see him out there, give him a wave and a welcome!
WELCOME ABOARD MATT, we are glad you are here.
