This pumpkin picture was taken by me at King’s Kountry Produce in the Market Place. Now that pumpkin is here, lets add some of those slightly cooler temperatures!

October 9th is pumpkin season at the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmer’s market. These friendly farmers, and the vendors of the Fernandina Beach Arts Market, will be set-up on North Seventh Street, between Centre and Alachua Streets, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, rain or shine.

This Saturday the Market Place is featuring the delicious pumpkin treats you will find at this true, open-air, farmers market. Butthead Farm has created a pumpkin pie goat cheese, and Me, Myself and Pies will have traditional pumpkin pies. Chubby Cakes has created a mini pumpkin-cinnamon roll cupcake with pumpkin spice cake, a cinnamon filling, and topped with a buttercream and cinnamon swirl icing. Great Harvest Bread Company will have pumpkin bread and chocolate-chip pumpkin muffins. Gluten-free vendor, Something Good, will be offering pumpkin mini-loaves that are sugar and dairy-free in plain, chocolate chip, date, and walnut. Our vegan vendor, Vegan Amelia, has baked for you vegan and gluten-free chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Breakable Hearts will be showing off their pumpkin bread, truffles, and macrons. Amelia Granola Bar has whipped together a pumpkin pie granola bar, and African Love Kitchen has created a pumpkin curry dish for your pumpkin dining pleasure. Look for sweet pie pumpkins at King’s Kountry Produce, Riverwood Candles has a pumpkin scented candle, and even your four-legged friends are treated to pumpkin spice dog treats and pumpkin carob Halloween cookies. It is indeed pumpkin season at the Market Place!
Adjacent to the farmers market is the Fernandina Beach Arts Market, where the cooler temperatures and the unique items you will find there gently remind you of the upcoming holiday shopping season, after all, as of Saturday there are only 77 shopping days left until Christmas. You will find books where you can meet and speak with the author, hand painted glassware, woodworking, apparel, baby gifts, fashionable and fine jewelry, and so much more.
All together there will be nearly 70 vendors displaying seasonal produce, fresh baked breads, artisan specialties, and arts and crafts. Live music will be brought to us by Jennifer Burns, who is returning to the Market Place for the first time since her maternity leave!
Enjoy all our wonderful city has to offer, the quaint shops, fantastic dining, beautiful waterfront views, amazing museums, Victorian architecture, and Florida’s friendliest farmers’ market! For more information, both markets are available on Facebook.
