In December it’s not just Santa Claus who is coming to town. On December 15 2020 a new Fernandina Beach City Commission will be seated to decide important policy issues for the next two years.  But before that can happen, registered city voters will vote in a run-off election to decide which of two canditates — Genece Minshew or David Sturges — will fill the seat vacated by departing Commissioner Philip Chapman.

There will not be Early Voting for this election. Run-Off Election Day is Tuesday, December 8. 2020. Two polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

Martin Luthere King, Jr. Recreation Center (Precinct 1)
1200 Elm Street
Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center (Precincts 2 and 201)
2500 Atlantic Avenue
Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034

Note: Precinct 201 has been moved from the Sadler Square Shopping Center

to the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center for this election!

If you have opted to vote by mail, please remember to mark and return your ballot before election day.

Thank you for reminding Fernandina Beach residents to vote again. It should be added that mail-in ballots can be dropped off at the secure Elections Office dropbox from now up to 7 PM on Election Day, December 8, 2020.
