Breaking News: City now has 408 process authorization in hand from Army Corps of Engineers

Fernandina Beach City Manager Dale Martin has just advised that yesterday the city received the long awaited authorization from the Army Corps of Engineers to allow work to proceed on replacing the attenuator in the south basin of the city marina.  Although the word “permit” has been used for this process, we have been advised that the correct term is “authorization,” because the 408 process does not generate a permit.  See the letter below:
