After strong winds, Hagan Ace Hardware donates replacement flag

City of Fernandina Beach
November 9, 2021

Chris at Hagan Ace Hardware of Yulee was watching WJXT4 The Local Station / News4JAX on Saturday when they were showing how the high winds ripped the American flag 🇺🇸 at the City of Fernandina Beach Government Marina in two. He couldn’t stand to see that… so he alerted management and asked if Hagan Ace could donate a new flag. The answer: Absolutely!
Monica from the city came and picked up the new flag from Hagan Ace in Yulee today.
We are proud to serve our community, proud we have such awesome employees who care about their community and we are proud to see this beauty back on display and flying high at the marina tonight! God Bless the USA! 🇺🇸

That’s great! Can you donate another for the ball fields at Central Park too please? It was torn and in terrible shape. Thanks!

……and the next morning the POW/MIA flag was replaced by two gentlemen from American Legion Post 54 (which is open to the public Thursday thru Saturday this week after the Veterans Day parade).

Thanks to all who helped replace both of these flags in a timely manner!
