Whooo says visiting City Hall can’t be a hoot? Especially on Halloween! Fernandina Beach City Hall was full of surprises today as the staff got into the spirit of the day with their costumes and enjoyed a potluck lunch in City Commission Chambers. Here are a few of the folks who decided to make the day just a bit more fun for coworkers and City Hall visitors alike.
City Manager Dale Martin showed off his patriotic spirit dressed as Uncle Sam—not quite as tall and lanky as the original, but close enough! Grants Writer Lorelei Jacobs dressed like a mysterious lady of the 1940’s with her pert red hat.
But the Building Department went all out to surprise folks arriving to request or pick up building permits.
And not to be left out, the Planning and Conservation Department decided on an insurance theme. All except for Department Director Kelly Gibson, who opted for a more traditional costume — only because her “real” costume was not delivered in time!
