Fernandina Beach city Manager Dale Martin has announced that next National Citizen Survey is about to get underway.  Between May 3-17, randomly selected city residents will begin to receive pre-notification postcards, followed by the actual surveys.  A preliminary report is due back to the city on July 19, with a final report due August 2.

Please note that this survey is being conducted by an outside firm, The National Citizen Survey, not the City of Fernandina Beach. The city is the customer that will receive the results for incorporation into future planning, goal setting, and budgeting. Individual respondents will not be identified.

Unlike the previous survey, this version will be mailed to 2,900 residents — almost twice as many as those surveyed in 2017.

If you are one of the recipients of this survey request, please take the time to complete it and return it as requested expeditiously.  Information obtained is important for determining the direction and future goals of the city, including where to spend your tax dollars.

Question: How private will the information be throughout its life-cycle, i.e., what entities, with what privacy practices, will receive details provided in the surveys?
