“Island Art Gallery will remain open until 7 pm on Saturday, June 13, and temporary hours are Wednesday – Sunday 11-5.”

Island Art Association has reopened its gallery, 18 North 2nd St. Safeguards have been implemented following recommended guidelines. Due to the pandemic shutdown, the annual Exhibiting Members Nouveau Show and Sale continues through July. Sandra Hughes (sandrahughesart.com) judged the show, themed “Anything Goes,” composed of 64 entries. Best of Show was awarded to Becky White, “Concours Fashion Show.” First Place went to Karen Trowbridge for “Cadence.” John Abbott was awarded Second Place with his charcoal rendering of “The Nazarene,” and Third Place, Rebecca McDannold with “Serenity.”

Honorable Mentions include Susan Colcord, Linda Johnson, Lis Krawiecki, Jane Salvaggion, Jimmie Stone, and Carol Taber.
