Five Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival Concerts Canceled Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

Fernandina Beach, FL—March 16, 2020—The Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival today announced that in addition to the previously announced cancellation of the March 19 Itzhak Perlman concert, Valentina Lisitsa (March 31) and Lynn Harrell (April 5) also have elected to cancel their appearances due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Festival will be issuing refunds to ticketholders as soon as possible.

Also canceled are the March 27 Free Family Concert with the Kelly/Scott Quintet and the March 28 Free Concert in the Park with the UNF Big Band Ensemble.

Final decisions about proceeding with the Dover Quartet concert (April 17), the Dover’s Master Class (April 18) and the Zukerman Trio season finale performance (April 26) will be made by mid-April. Depending upon circumstances over the next 30 days, including the possibility of additional artist cancellations, these performances will be held. However, ticket sales to these concerts have been suspended until further notice. If canceled, refunds will be made to ticketholders.
