Child book authors Frank and Rose Winn are a father-daughter team who will be at the Fernandina Beach Book Loft at 214 Centre St. on Saturday, Sept. 2 along with a couple of the books’ characters.
The books feature a ladybug named Rose Bud who has adventures with an alligator and other creatures. She was born one of 21 ladybugs and she was born with a rose over her heart. The storyline is she is searching for her father, who never returned after going out in search of food.
They have published two of the Rose Bud series and plan a third.
Rose Winn is a student at Full Sail University and working toward being a producer/director. Frank Winn’s career has been much more technical, including working in the space shuttle program for NASA. He is a Fernandina Beach resident.
The Book Loft will carry the books after the event.
