Amelia Musical Playhouse proudly presents the musical Follies with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim based on a book by James Goldman. The show is a reunion of performers at a Broadway theatre that is soon to be demolished. As past performers come together for one last show, we get a glimpse in to their lives.
Two couples Sally (Mary Williams) and Buddy Plummer (Frank O’Donnell), and Phyllis (Deirdre Wallace) and Ben Stone (Jimmy Kalista) reflect on their lives and relationship while a cast of 31 sings and dances throughout the night to songs such as: Broadway Baby, I’m Still Here, and Who’s That Woman.
This production also features a live 7 piece band under the baton of Chad Miller.
Show dates are March 6,7,13,14,19,20,21 at 7:30 pm, March 8 at 2:30 pm, and March 15 at 5:00 pm.
$25 for adults and $15 for students.
