Editor’s Note: Valerie, her husband Byron, and son Dylan, have made Yulee their home for the past 12 years. Originally from New York State, they lived in Georgia for several years before the birth of Dylan who was born in Fernandina Beach. The Baileys fell in love with the area and jumped at the chance to live so close to the Island.
The three Baileys, along with their dogs, are avid trail hikers, annually traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina to hike the mountain trails. Their favorite, and most frequent, local hike haunt is the Egans Creek Greenway. The Baileys own and operate a family contracting business, and have been blessed to watch the area grow and thrive. No better place to call home… or to hike!
