Editor’s Note: A few weeks ago, an intense afternoon storm came to Amelia Island. Steve Leimberg captured the storm as it proceeded to the south end of Amelia Island above the American Beach “Nana Dune.” Leann Coleman’s photo was taken near Katie’s Light on South Fletcher. Leann and her husband Ken are newcomers to Amelia Island but have visited the area for many years. According to Leann, “They absolutely adore this lovely place.” Her husband is involved in sales and Leann is a teacher. We welcome the Colemans and thank Leann for her contribution to the Fernandina Observer.
