New mixed-use community coming to one of the area’s fastest growing corridors

Question – With regards to the statement that Tributary will offer “resort-style amenities, including a clubhouse, fitness center and a variety of sports courts. Additionally, the community will offer dog parks, a comprehensive trail system, neighborhood parks with riverfront access, commercial and office space” – isn’t this exactly the point at which Nassau County got in lots of (as yet) unresolved trouble and financial issues with Wildlight? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me…. Tell me how/why this will be different.
It is sad that often the only people who comment on progressive new developments are all so “the sky is falling” doomsayers….come join the 21st century.
Most “doomsayers” around here have proved quite prescient.

I am sorry but “progressive new developments” are no different then general housing developments despite the fact they claim to have dog parks and will set aside a bit of swamp land they will not bulldoze. Now if you want to add 3200 homes to your neighborhood which is already bloated with developers piling in, if you think that is great, that is progress and that your town/community will be better for it….well then I can’t argue with you about that, as we have different views on what is positive and what is negative for the area we live in.
Time to leave
and go where. The developers run it all in their so called environmentally green projects. We have the same thing happening up here in Canada.
The ‘powers that be’ will not stop until every square inch of Nassau County is built upon. So much for our beach and quiet Amelia Island….
