Great photo. We are right in the middle of shorebird nesting season now. Please respect the signs to stay out of their nesting areas, and never intentionally flush birds from their resting spots. Some birds will not return to their nest if scared, leaving eggs and hatchlings to die. Most birds are migrating and need to build up their energy stores; extra flying deplete those stores. Keep your dogs on leash and close to the water, not up by the birds. Better yet, please leave your dogs at home, as even a leashed dog can scare off birds. Thanks!
