On May 4, a “Rally for Reproductive Rights” was held at the Nassau County Historic Courthouse after a leaked United States Supreme Court draft opinion suggested the majority of the court will overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationwide. The impromptu rally organized by the Nassau County Democratic Party brought women and men together to support women’s right to choose.
