The ocean rowing team, FOAR from Home, is scheduled to be the main speaker at the Veterans4VeteransNassau gathering at the West Nassau High School on Saturday, May 14th.

The four members of the team, Cameron Hansen,, “Hupp” Huppmann, Billy Cimino, and Paul Lore, rowed their ocean racer 3,000 nautical miles from Canary Islands, Spain, to Antigua to raise awareness of and resources for combating veteran suicide.

Veterans4VeteransNassau, sponsored by the Veterans Council of Nassau County, will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the 14th at the West Nassau High School, 1 Warrior Drive, Callahan, Florida.

This gathering is designed to offer a free networking opportunity for all veterans. It will feature information tables staffed by veterans’ and veterans’ support organizations within the county, such as the Nassau County Veterans Service Officer, American Legion Post 54 in Fernandina, AMVETS 2007 in Hilliard,

Vietnam Veterans of America 1088 in Yulee, Veterans Treatment Court, and more. You will only need cash to buy tickets for the 50/50 drawing (no ATM on premises). Admission and all the coffee you can drink are free, plus the lunch catered by Callahan Barbeque will be at no cost.
