A tree company has been knocking on doors and distributing flyers to get business cutting down trees on Amelia Island. Despite City and County efforts, this has been going on since January. They are telling folks their trees are diseased, sick, rotten, or an insurance problem, when in fact that is not the case. This is not a local company and it is not reputable—they have serious complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Homeowners who remove trees without proof of danger may violate Title XI Section 162.045 Florida Statutes as well as local City and County ordinances.
