Our K9 Handler Beth Smith and her K9, Rogue had a successful find over the weekend! They helped locate a carjacking suspect. Ivan Fox is charged with carjacking, felony flee/elude and more after our deputies were called to a gas station on US HWY 1 on Saturday 5:50 am.

The victim says a man…later identified as Ivan Fox… jumped in his truck that was occupied with two children aged 4 and 11. He drove off about 150 feet and got the kids out and then continued to drive off. Fox drove into GA and then back into Hilliard. Fox then fled on foot and was later apprehended by K9 Rogue and JSO’s K9s who assisted in this search. Deputy Smith used one of our K9 scent kits, by using an absorption method to catch Fox. He was caught by 7:29 a.m. Good job to all involved!
