Auditor Daniel Anderson

The City of Fernandina Beach received good news from its auditor at the April 5, 2022, Regular Meeting of the Fernandina Beach City Commission (FBCC).  Daniel Anderson, a director of the firm Mauldin & Jenkins CPA & Advisors, presented the Annual Audit Report for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2022.  Following review, the firm issued an unmodified opinion, the highest form of assurance that an audit can provide.

On the single audit of a major program that the firm was required to perform because the City spent more than $750K in federal funds, they also found no issues of compliance or internal controls.

Anderson said that his firm noted no issues of communication with the City during the audit.
