3/7/22 @ 3:25 p.m. – The Board of County Commissioner’s celebrated the completion of the Pages Dairy Road improvements project today by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony. After a welcome message by Chairman Aaron Bell, County Engineer, Robert Companion, provided a description of the project and the activities that took place.

District 3 County Commissioner also spoke about the much needed improvements and its impact on the community. He stated, “While the actual road work has only been underway for just over a year, we have actually been planning this project for many years. In fact, the County sought money from the State in 2012, 2013 and 2014 to assist in the costs of the project. We were finally successful in 2015 when the State allocated $1.25 million in grant funding and added the project to their 5-year work program. Since 2015, staff has worked diligently to complete its design, conduct site work, and everything else needed to be ready to break ground in accordance with the State’s timeline and available funding.  We broke ground in November 2020 and not only was the project completed on time, it also came in under budget. I could not be prouder of our Engineering staff, the County Manager, County Attorney, and former and current Commissioners for all they’ve done to bring this project to fruition.  We hope that you are as excited as we are and we look forward to bringing you more great things in the years to come”.

Thank you to the everyone who took the time to attend this event today, as well as to the community for your patience as we worked to complete this project.
