Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County is excited to announce that our services will now be available in Hilliard starting March 1, 2022.

The Club staff have been hard at work developing a pilot program to bring our services to the west side of Nassau County. Thanks to Journey Church, we are able to utilize their West Campus location to bring afterschool programs to children from Hilliard Elementary beginning March 1.

This pilot program will initially be limited to 25 members, and thanks to generous support from the community, those children will be able to attend free-of-charge for this 12-week first phase of the program. The pilot program will run from March 1 through the end of the school year with afterschool programs resuming when the school year begins this fall.

The program will create at least five new employment opportunities in the County and is currently hiring staff to eventually increase our services at this location to approximately 50 children. Offerings at this Club will mirror those of our other two Clubs but will be limited to children ages 6-10 in order address transportation limitations by focusing on just Hilliard Elementary. The goal of the program is to eventually see a permanent Club in the Callahan/Hilliard area.

This is wonderful news. I know the board of the Boys and Girls Club has worked hard on this and they deserve thanks for extending this opportunity to the children of west Nassau.

Boys and Girls clubs are wonderful opportunities for our youth. Great news that the Westside of Nassau now has one.
