2/24/22 @ 9:35 a.m. – The County has received notification that CSX Transportation has secured Southern Commercial Development, LLC, to conduct emergency repairs to the railroad crossing on Sandy Ford Road, between US 1 and Cow Bird Lane. The work will take place on Friday, March 4th beginning at 9am and ending at approximately 6pm. The repair will require a complete closure, therefore no traffic will be permitted to cross the track until the work is complete.
Southern Commercial Development has indicated that appropriate signage will be put in place prior to the closure date. Motorists should avoid the closure area. If you have any questions, please contact Erika Elmore of Southern Commercial Development at (229) 262-4394.
