B & B Theater – Amelia Island 7 closing

A Letter from
B & B Theatres
January 26, 2022

Friends and movie-lovers,
After a period of negotiation, B&B Theatres and the theater property owner have been unable to reach an agreeable renewal, and our doors will be permanently closing tomorrow, Thursday January 27th , at the close of the business day. B&B Theatres gift cards will remain valid at other B&B Theatres locations.
We are thankful for the wonderful opportunity we enjoyed to be a part of this community.

How sad. Our community will miss the theater. The staff were always welcoming.

This is very sad. This was a great theatre for adults and kids alike. I am sure that the landlords could have come to some sort of agreement with the company. It is greed in my opinion. Now the space will be vacant…. Ridiculous….

So sorry to hear. We loved going to this theater and will sorely miss having one on the island. To bad an agreement could not have been made.

In times like these, greed has no place. Need to work though this and come out stronger on other side. Loved this theatre. Drove from Woodbine GA to go here. Truly a sad day for me and my family

Sorry to see the theater go. I will miss it.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for a suitable replacement. The bowling alley and skating rink (in the same shopping center) never came back, and the stand-alone former dentist’s office on the NW corner of the property has been vacant for 20 years.

Streaming, Netflix, Peacock, etc assisted with the lack of business
