Nassau County Council on Aging (NCCOA) will benefit from some Buckeye volunteerism when Seaman Corporation, headquartered in Wooster, Ohio, travels to Amelia Island for its annual corporate meeting, Oct. 26. Volunteers will work on landscaping projects at 1901 Island Walk Way in Fernandina Beach, and make holiday wreaths for local seniors. Several wreaths will also be included in NCCOA’s “A Glimpse of Tuscany” Silent Auction, Dec. 4-11.
The local community is invited to participate in the wreath-making project. All supplies will be furnished by Seaman Corporation. If you’re interested in helping make wreaths for local seniors, contact Margo Morlock, Volunteer Manager, 904-775-5490, or [email protected], by Wednesday, Oct. 20.
Seaman Corporation encourages associates to volunteer and offers volunteer time off during the year. To support this initiative and also promote team building during the annual meeting, the company reached out to the United Way of Northeast Florida in the host community for volunteer options. Seaman Corporation selected NCCOA since the agency offered a good mix of activities for the group.
