CHARACTER COUNTS – Our officers are always on the lookout for the bad guys, but it is much more satisfying to catch the good guys. Recently, School Resourse Officer Brian Evatt was at a High School volleyball game when he saw Nick Saldana go out of his way to help a person who uses a wheelchair.

The person was having difficulty and Nick was “that guy” who came down out of the stands and helped them. Officer Evatt and Principal Chris Webber rewarded Nick’s good deed with a Zaxby’s gift card compliments of the Fernandina Beach Police Foundation.
