Each year, the Nassau County Extension Office, in conjunction with the University of Florida, hosts a Peanut Butter Challenge to  celebrate Florida’s agriculture and feed the hungry. Below is a post from the County Extension Office announcing the 2021 Peanut Butter Challenge event.

Post from Dr. Taylor Clem:

It’s October 1st, which means it is time to kick off the 2021 Peanut Butter Challenge. We’d like to thank Nassau County’s Commissioner Thomas Ford for stopping by the office and donating this year’s FIRST peanut butter donation!

Peanuts are a major agricultural commodity in Florida and peanut butter is highly nutritious, which makes it a valuable item in helping fight hunger. Join us this year as we celebrate Florida’s agriculture and fight hunger with your donations of peanut butter.

Drop off your peanut butter donations to one of four locations starting now through November 23. Thanks to all our friends, neighbors, and partners for helping with this project! How much do you think we could collect and donate this year?

Donation Locations:
Callahan (M-F, 8am – 5pm), 543350 US HWY-1, Callahan, FL 32011
Yulee (Fridays, 8am – 5pm), 86026 Pages Dairy Road, Yulee, FL 32097
