Like many of us, do you feel something has been missing during the  Fernandina Beach spring season  for the past two years?  Of course, I refer to the Isle of 8 Flags Shrimp Festival, always held the first weekend in May.  To the disappointment and dismay of residents, visitors, vendors and non-profit organizations the 2020 and 2021 festivals were cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.  While things are on track for the return of the festival in 2022, organizers are offering you an abbreviated version of the event the first weekend of October 2021.

The Shrimp Festival Committee, in partnership with the City of Fernandina Beach, is pleased to announce a special event the first weekend of October:   Falling For Shrimp.  It will take place downtown Fernandina Beach starting at 6 p.m. on October 1 and run through the weekend,

In addition to letting you feed your shrimp cravings, the festival has an ambitious entertainment schedule lined up.
